Forces of nature

Hrm... so far, Storm and Cyclops are the only two X-Men for whom I've thought of a really good zooperhero version.

Storm as a hammerkop, an African stork with lots of folklore attached to it. It has been called the king of all birds, which may not be quite as spiffy as Ororo's goddess title, but it's a pretty good substitute. It is claimed that they have power over thunderstorms, and that seeing a hammerkop perched over your house is an indicator that it will soon be struck by lightning. Destroying their nests grants similar consequences. Oh, and their domed nests are humongous volkswagen-sized monstrosities. No one is quite sure why they're so big, but I can fathom a guess. Claustrophobia.

Cyclops as a horned lizard. When confronted by an enemy, some species will use a very peculiar defense mechanism. They squirt blood out of their eyes! Anyway, there's about a zillion varieties, but I picked the 'solare' subgroup, since the name is a good reference to Scott's powers to absorb sunlight. Then again, pretty much all reptiles, horned lizards included, can boast the exact same thing.
